Jens Zygar is a gong musician, an inspired, autonomous sound researcher, a friend of the cosmic octave, since 1984:
initiator of the Paiste planetary gongs; co-founder of the Star Sounds Orchestra; global teacher of integral sound music as well as sound healing.

"gong bath" oh boy. Piano music in the background of a gong documentary?
Well, got my deep wound; I personaly dislike the term *gong bath", but as it is a "documentary, not a Jens perspective on gongs,.....I have to accept the spectrum of reality,...but be sure I am not using it, reg. the Piano - music, it´s a common concept in the genre of talking heads movies, to use "back ground music" as an style element to keep the spectators attention, but I fully agree as well, that there are other options,... thank You for Your resoance anyhow.

Sound of Space,You Need time to feel the Development of the Sound. As a Child I love the Sound of Little bells,recorded it in high speed to Play it in a Slow speed afterwards. Ring Modulation,FM AM Modulation wonderful stuff. But the real thing is Heavy Peace of Metal….

I first encountered the gong when I took KY Teacher Training. We were taught not to strike the gong in the center, then shown a video of YB hammering the gong in the center. One of many dichotomies of YB!! I have since trained with other KY gong players who played beautifully with measured crescendos. What an experience for you Jens, thank you for all your dedication!
